Dr. Ellman received her Psy.D in Clinical Psychology in 2017 from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s and Mount Sinai West Hospitals in New York, NY. Dr. Ellman has received training in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). She completed an intensive training in DBT offered by Behavioral Tech, LLC. Dr. Ellman has worked with teens, emerging adults, and adults presenting with a wide range of difficulties including personality, anxiety, mood, and substance use disorders. She has provided therapy in a variety of settings including outpatient mental health, college counseling, inpatient hospital, therapeutic high school, and detoxification and rehabilitation. She currently provides individual DBT and CBT, and co-leads DBT skills groups for adolescents and adults at the Lake Success and Manhattan CCDBT offices.
