Dr. Hittman received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Greater Hartford Clinical Psychology Internship Consortium, which consisted of clinical placements at both the VA Medical Center in Newington, Connecticut, and University of Connecticut Healthcare. Dr. Hittman has experience treating a range of difficulties, including anxiety, mood, trauma, and personality disorders. She has received extensive training in both Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and various Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) treatments, including Prolonged Exposure Therapy (PE) and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) for PTSD, as well as Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. She currently provides individual CBT and DBT and co-leads DBT skills groups for adolescents and adults at the Lake Success CCDBT office.
