Dr. Mary Gallagher is a staff psychologist at CCDBT and works in both the Long Island and Manhattan offices. She received her M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University and her B.S. in Psychology at Duke University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at Montefiore Medical Center/Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Dr. Gallagher has been extensively trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for the treatment of anxiety, depression, and trauma. She also completed an intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) offered by Behavioral Tech, LLC. She is an adjunct faculty member at the Ferkauf Graduate School of Psychology at Yeshiva University where she teaches a CBT course and supervises graduate students. Dr. Gallagher currently provides individual DBT and CBT and co-leads DBT skills groups for adolescents and adults. Dr. Gallagher also teaches a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course to help individuals learn to more effectively manage chronic pain, anxiety, depression and life stress.
