Maddy Ellberger received her Master of Science in Clinical Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work in 2015. She completed her clinical internship at New York Presbyterian – Columbia University Medical Center, where she completed a service in the pediatric outpatient psychiatry unit as well as the pediatric emergency department. Maddy has received extensive training in evidence-based treatments including Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Parent Management Traning (PMT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Prolonged Exposure (PE); and has provided treatment to children, adolescents, families, and adults with anxiety, mood, trauma/stressor, and personality disorders, as well as trauma focused training to military personnel in Israel. She has completed intensive training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy for adults and adolescents offered by Behavioral Tech, LLC. In addition to her Masters of Science in Clinical Social Work, Maddy also holds an MSEd. in special education from Bank Street College of Education, and has extensive experience working with children and families on school related concerns including Disruptive Behavior Disorders and behavioral concerns in school, Individualized Education Plans, and Special Education Service Provision. Maddy currently provides individual CBT and DBT and co-leads DBT skills group for adolescents and adults. In addition, she co-leads mindfulness workshops in a variety of settings.
