Psychotherapy at the Center for Cognitive and Dialectical Behavior Therapy

What is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy?

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a psychotherapy that targets unhelpful or destructive thoughts and behaviors that interact together to cause distress and problems. CBT works to replace these unhelpful thoughts and behaviors with more positive and realistic ones in order to improve an individual’s quality of life.

Our clinicians can provide specialized treatment to address many problems associated with daily life. These treatments are provided at our center in addition to our DBT program.

These include:
  • Family & Marital Conflict
  • Depression & Sadness
  • Anxiety & Phobias
  • Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD)
  • Childhood Behavior Problems
  • School Phobia/Refusal
  • Obsessive Compulsive Behaviors
  • Impulsive Behaviors
  • Social Skills Deficits
